So last week, we examined three types of problematic chapter breaks (premature breaks, delayed breaks, and inconsistent rhythms). Today, we’re going to continue with an examination of three more problematic breaks.

The funny thing about breaks is that they’re cumulative. You might not hear from a beta reader, “Hey, your chapter breaks need work!” But you might hear some additional comments. Maybe that they feel the book drags or has a strange pacing. These are common symptoms of chapter break issues.
